In other news… MY NEW ALBUM IS OUT!  AH!  You can find it here.  Give it a listen.  It pairs well with almost anything.DARKalbumDfinal

Hello Hello Hello,
I hope this note finds you all well.  It has been a busy few months over here.  Lots of pots on the stove… if you know what I mean.  First and foremost, I am planning to release a new record(Dark was the Yearling) May 20th.  I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this with you.  It has already garnered some great reviews including ones from CMT Edge and Bestnewbands.com and I hope you like it too.  I have a little promo video for it here AND the first single(“Good Friend of Mine”) off the record is available here or on ITunes.
I am also in the middle of a little kickstarter campaign.  The design of the kickstarter is basically to get the album to you!  I have to get the record pressed, have a little PR campaign… all that good stuff that is required to have a successful release. Please donate what you can.  I’m very excited to be sharing this project with you.  You can donate here.
And…. I will be out in LA from May 13th to the 20th.  I have a couple of great shows planned while out there.  The first being May 15th at the Record Parlour with Brother’s Grim and the second as part of the Mimosa Series with Gary Calamar.   Both are going to be a lot of fun.  If you are in the area come on out and sing a long.
It’s going to be a busy summer.  Lots of shows.  So please check my show page with updates… as I plan to add a bunch very soon.
Much Love,
 Mimosa SeriesRecordParlour

Best-Laid Plans

January 16, 2014

Hello all,

It has been a busy winter for these bones.  I have been fortunate enough to land two great spots thanks to the hard work of friends at Platform Music Group and GEMS as well as putting my nose to the grind stone in the studio.

The first being the theme song to the new Nat Geo show, “The Legend of Mick Dodge.”  The intro to the show features a version of “Dancin’ Tonight” off The Wildness EP.  Super excited about that.  I haven’t seen the show, but I hear it’s great.  They tell me it’s on Tuesdays at 10pm on NatGeo.  So go take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Also, two weeks ago Equinox Gym launched their, “Equinox Made Me Do It” campaign with a great little video that features a song called “Ticket Home” off my upcoming release.  This song isn’t available just yet… but with any luck you should be able to find it kicking around the internet in the next month or so.  So keep your eyes peeled.

Which brings me to why I’ve been so busy these past few months… I have been busy in the studio recording a new album, set to be released this spring. I’m particularly excited because this will be my first full length annnnddd I’ve been lucky enough to have a great producer to help me out along the way, Charles Newman of Mother West.  I’m feeling very professional these days.  I can’t share much more than that… I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

Oh! I almost forgot, if you are out and about these next coming month please stop on by a show.  I have a handful in the North East in early February and few down in Texas in March for SXSW.  They are listed below.  The First being this coming Sunday 1/19 in NYC at Rockwood.  I play at ten.

The Yearling

October 8, 2013
Good evening,
I’m writing to you, hot toddy in hand from my home away from home up here in the Catskills.  I hope your summer ended well.  It seemed to go by too quickly this year.  I’m usually the first person to want October at my door step, but even I have to say August felt no longer than a day.
I have some exciting news!  You may be hearing my music on your televisions very shortly.  I don’t want to give too much away until all my ducks are in a row, so to speak…but hopefully I can give you more info soon.
There’s good bunch of shows coming up: this Thursday I will be performing at the CBGB Fest here in NYC.  I’d love to see you there.  Details are here along with my other scheduled shows.
I’ve also been fortunate enough to be working with a talented producer these last couple of months and am in the process of turning those efforts into new songs for you.  I am in the middle of recording a full length as we speak and hope to have something for years early in the new year. This will be my first full length… and am very excited and little overwhelmed by the possibilities.
